HIMOINSA welcomes the new CEO of Yanmar Energy System

Peter Aarsen has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of YES, the energy division of Yanmar of which HIMOINSA is a part.

Recently appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Yanmar Energy System International, Peter Aarsen has visited HIMOINSA's headquarters in Spain. Francisco Gracia, President and CEO of HIMOINSA, together with other members of the company's senior executive team, has welcomed Peter Aarsen during his visit to the company's main facilities together with Tetsuya Yamamoto, the hitherto President and CEO of YES who has just been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) and representative Director of Yanmar Holdings, along with other members of the Japanese team; Koji Yamashita, President of Yanmar Energy System in Japan and Tomohisa Tao, President of Yanmar Power Technology.

“We would like to thank Mr. Yamamoto for all this efforts and hard work during his four years as President and CEO of Energy Systems. We would also like to welcome Peter Aarsen: with him at the helm, we are quite convinced that we will be able to continue to position HIMOINSA as one of the fastest growing companies in the Yanmar Energy System division and we are determined to take YES to an even higher position in the ranking of Yanmar's consolidated global business units”, explains Francisco Gracia, President and CEO of HIMOINSA, who goes on to add that “when two forces unite, their efficiency doubles”.

Peter Aarsen, who took good advantage of his visit to learn more about HIMOINSA's strategic plan as well as its industrial capacity and business model, has placed great value on the company's short- to medium-term growth forecast, which he sees as extremely positive. “I am very positive to be part of the exciting future of Himoinsa with it’s ambitions focus on new product and technology developments and promising market growth opportunities”, adds Aarsen.

Since joining Yanmar 15 years ago, Peter Aarsen has held several positions of responsibility in both Yanmar Marine and in Yanmar Europe (YEU), where he was appointed President in 2014.
His predecessor in YES, Tetsuya Yamamoto, has great things to say about Aarsen's appointment: “in the last few years, he has become increasingly involved in Energy Systems which has benefited from his extensive technical knowledge and experience. As a result, we are convinced that he will play a strategic role in YES International."

Yamamoto also stressed the management work carried out by the HIMOINSA team. “We would like to congratulate the company on this its 40th anniversary; we are delighted to see that it is successfully meeting the growth that was forecast in its business plan, despite the pandemic and the market instability we are currently experiencing,” adds Yamamoto.
